My historic-district kitchen has a tightly built-in unit in a tiny galley — can you even pull it?
Yes. Old Fernandina kitchens are narrow and the cabinetry is often original and irreplaceable, so we bring panel jacks, floor protection, and the patience those spaces need. We pull and reseat a built-in without marking the casework, which matters as much downtown as the repair itself.
Is the salt as bad downtown as it is oceanfront?
Less direct than North Fletcher, but still real. Downtown and Old Town sit on the river-and-marsh side, so the chloride load is lighter than at the surf, yet the whole island is within about two miles of salt water. We clean historic-district condensers twice a year rather than quarterly, but we do not skip them.

Downtown and Old Town sit on the Amelia River and marsh side rather than the surf, so the chloride load is lighter than North Fletcher but the whole island still breathes salt air. Is there hard-water scale on the ice maker downtown like the rest of the island?
